No, Kosher style
not on Hempstead tpk it's on 196 Merrick rd, Merrick
They serve cheeseburgers and bacon there..... I believe they say they're 'kosher-style'. Frankly, I don't see how they can serve bacon and be kosher. Perhaps they have two kitchens? I'd give them a call just to be sure.
Simply the best authentic food
Have a great selection and really good food. Staff is very friendly and prices are very inexpensive. Very nice restaurant.
Delicious pastrami
Great pastrami corned beef and fresh cut fries. They also have great salads and main courses. Friendly service and very clean place.
Love this place food is amazing
Yummy to my tummy.
Large tasty sandwiches. Prompt courteous service.
First time there the food was awesome the best pastrami sandwich I've had but the waiter he could have been a little bit more friendly I definitely recommend though and go back
Wait staff was great.
We drove from West Islip to get the best sandwich I've since devoured ..well worth the trip for this mountain high delight of expertly cooked roast beef..should have gotten pastrami or corned beef, but ya know when you just have a hankering for something?? Well today it was the beef..and it was gooood!!!
Yes, this place has great pastrami. Coming from NYC, I thought I would not find a place like this on the island. Their cheesecake is also first class.
Dang this place is good! All authentic food, fresh and delicious! Try one of their many sandwiches, especially the classic pastrami!
Amazing home food. Any time. Any age. I am happy that i founded
Loved them in queens and love them in Merrick. They have the best food by far.
Best of pastrami and cornbeef
The pastrami was excellent. Everyone had to count their fingers to make sure that they did not bite them off!Everyone at work is asking me when we can have the Pastrami King Party again. I told them in about a month or two!
I really love this place. It's a bit of a drive for me and the Lido Kosher Deli, which makes a pretty good pastrami sandwich is only 4 blocks from my house but believe me it's worth the trip. Now, for the obvious question, which one is best? I've had the pastrami and potato salad from both places and this is how I rate them. The pastrami is a tie when it comes to taste but Pastrami King is larger. Price, Lido is $13.45, Pastrami King is $12.95. On the potato salad, PK wins this one. Finding parking can sucks at both places.
Everything I eat here is delicious. The pastrami, corn beef is out of this world! Even the pasta dishes are better then Italian restaurants!
Food is great and prices are good. You can find Pastrami, Corned Beef, kosher foods here. The desserts are excellent. The dining room is clean. Parking is across the street with Dunkin donuts.
Pastrami was good pickles tasted bad the cashier was not friendly at all snooty and no customer service courtesy at all not even a thank you or have a good day did not inquire on whether we wanted any toppings on the sandwiches. All in all will not go there again.too bad , I used to think they were the best.
Very good, but pricey.
What can be said about absolute perfection in food. The leanest pastrami I ever had and sooo delicious! Now if I could just stop and try something else!
Clean establishment , good counter service, outstanding sandwich selection. Prices a bit high, but worth every cent when you see how much meat they pack into their sandwiches, WOW!. If you love Deli (like I do), and want a great deli sandwich, this a MUST SEE establishment. Highly recommended. DEFINITELY Worth the visit.
Decent place. Food is ok. Very overpriced for what you get but not bad. Great service though!
Service was awesome and food was amazing! Cannot wait to go back.
Great place. It has Potato knish's, Spinach knish's, and of course Pastrami knish's. They are all worth a bite. They are good people. Something wasn't put in our bag, we left, and out in the parking lot a man came over from the restaurant and told us. We went back and they gave us something special for free because they did not add it. Good place to go
I had to try this place because a friend said it was the best pastrami he had on Long Island. So, I drive 15 miles to check it out. The owner Joe happened to be nearby and he walked me through my choices. I settled on a classic combination sandwich; pastrami and corned-beef on rye, a potato knish (baked), a hot cherry pepper and a couple of sweet and sour pickles. Cream soda to wash it down. MAN!! What a meal. The pastrami and corn beef was awesome (I nearly bit my finger on one of the bites). I will be back ... 👍👍
The elegant decor, aroma of ethnic foods and high regard for its cleanliness The cole slaw to start is fresh and tasty. They weren't very crowded ehen I went in, which I prefer rather than packed and loud places. This past time my waitress was there to accommodate my needs and to check on me. She wasn't doing all kinds of prepping in the kitchen like the girl and guy present last time I came in to review. They now offer free refills on soft drinks which is great as the past times my bill was elevated due to each drink added on. Their potato pancakes this time were crisp, fried and delicious-i suggest scoop the Cole slaw on them!I I definitely recommend the pastrami, corn beef, salads, and fresh soups. Lastly, be sure to walk by their deli counter to check out foods to take out!
Wonderful delicious classics style pastrami sandwiches. Chicken soup that warms the heart. Matzo ball that would make your mama proud. Pickles and clausaw Highly recommend. Price a little high.
I enjoyed Pastrami King. My sandwich was great. Service was fast. I plan to go back. God bless the owners and staff.
I truly cannot say enough good about this place. We just had a party here for my sons 1st birthday, and everything was exceptional. The food was amazing, the pricing was great, the service was outstanding. The waitstaff went above and beyond. The space was beautiful, and perfect was our 35 guests. Every single guest was so pleased with their food and experience. This was the most stress-free party I have ever thrown, because they truly took care of all the details. My family and I were so happy to have found Pastrami King. It truly has a family-oriented feel.
Always get the Stuffed Cabbage and a Potato Pancake with an ice cold Amstel Light! So Good. Love to walk out thru the deli section. Wonderful Smells!
I'm just saying... Maybe they should pass the crown... AVERAGE for the price... Pastrami tasted good and the Roast beef was old.
Always a yummy experience at Pastrami King without the trip and hassle of Manhattan. The pastrami and sour pickle combo is my favorite sandwich as a Father's Day tribute to my Papi. Definitely worth the money and worth the trip. The service is also wonderful. Very nice staff.
Pastrami King is way overpriced for rubber uneven pieces of meat. Cole slaw awful more like badcabbage salad ! Go to pastrami express inSeaford or Bens. Much better. Owner has a nasty disposition.
The ambiance is very old, but in a good way. It reminds me of a very old, family owned deli. The food was amazing! I had the corned beef sandwich with fries and both were very tasty and filling. Highly recommend going here for a special occasion
Very Good Sandwiches , Potato Pancakes were little on the heavy side . Cole Slaw was good . Pastrami Hamburger tasty .
Not happy with order to go. Corned beef is dry. So disappointed. Dont wa t to drive back there. Paid cash or would cancel the charge. Even the pickles are nushy.Fries served in styrofoam which melted and created a toxic smell and fries are soft
Great Jewish deli food.... Nice sit down service. Very clean and inviting restaurant.... Also has a take out counter... Parking is limited.... Great food...
I rant about this place to everyone and anyone! I am not a local, but I drive to Pastrami King when I’m in a pastrami mood! +++ absolutely love this place, AND their desserts are delicious as well. I wish they were closer to me.
The Real Deal. Eat here EVERY time I visit NY. Tongue is excellent.
Delicious food. Pastrami to die for. Friendly service. If I'm near this place. I eat 😋😋
My first time having pastrami... Delicious 😋
As always incredible dinner cornbread and pastrami. The Best.
Thoroughly enjoyed the lunch. Pastrami was very good but could have been a little bit leaner. Portion size was really generous - you pay for it but... generous anyway. The place was clean and the toilets serviceable. The only downside was the server who reacted like he was doing us a favor by serving our table. Maybe just a bad day.
My wife and I enjoyed lunch, food was excellent and staff handled a small issue with the order perfect.. definitely going back
The Pastrami and Corned Beef is fantastic. Some of the best on Long Island.
The food was great and the service was awesome
OMFG THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!Ok let me call down. I stopped here in my lunch break and honestly I didn't really know what to expect. Theoretically speaking, no one should get in the business of Pastrami unless they plan on going all out. The bar is very high. However Pastrami King lives up to the name.Personally, I'm a purist. Pastrami on Rye with Mustard complimented with a Coke. The meat was so juicy and the bread was perfect as if it was made the same day. The sandwich was large enough for two to eat (a good way to save money) and I didn't get any sides as I knew it would be too much. Every bite was a brief moment in heaven. I had to stop myself from over eating it was so good.Simply put, go and enjoy the best Pastrami Sandwich Merrick has to offer...
Top of the line food so tasty it melts in your mouth ,Yep got to have the pastrami on rye
